Constitution is an inherent skill where Experience is obtained through any means of standard combat with all styles.

The XP distributed from it is entirely separate from the standard XP distribution for other Combat skills.

With Attack/Strength split, it is 1/2 to create the whole 1/1.
Constitution XP is roughly around 1/3 of the total experience gained per mob kill.
OSRS works in an almost identical manner where the XP is a 4xp per point of damage, with an additional 1.33xp per point of damage being applied to HP. Enemies can also have XP modifiers applied to them that can boost or reduce the XP gained.
