I think most people can agree that the memory gathering requirements are kind of steep. Even if enriched memories count as 2 for the purposes of charging the engrammeter, 500 each time for 15 times for a total of 7,500 collected memories is longer of a grind than most people would find feasable.

Some things that I think could alleviate this steep requirement and streamline this miniquest:
-Have the engrammeter automatically charge from the collected memories while in a player's inventory
-Reduce the memory requirements from 500 per full engrammeter charge to, say, 250 or 100
-Allow the engrammeter to store all required memory charges past the first full charge, i.e. rather than stop every 1x number of gathered wisp memories, stop at the full 15x as an overcharge.

And for players who already completed the miniquest, allow them to collect a reimbursement for the memories they'd collected and used to charge the engrammeter, whether it be in XP or in a chosen type of divine energy. This reimbursement could be collected from either:
-The engrammeter itself
-||Kharshai||, the guy you start the miniquest to begin with.

Iirc it's just a miniquest and mainly for the sake of providing extended lore on stuff, entirely optional 🤔 if it was a 'proper quest' I probably would've agreed but I seem to recall that, as the way grinds go in RuneScape, this one seemed a lot worse on paper than it ended up being. It is a long miniquest sure but, the way I interpret most miniquests personally is "optional extended lore". (Mind you, I've done them all including reading through etc not just spacebar mashing, most of them several times..)

Pretty sure it isn't a hard requirement for any actual quests or such either..

Wouldn't per se do much harm to reduce the required memories though, feels like an arbitrary number. If they were to do it though I wouldn't "half-ass" it, 100 seems fair and certainly quick enough to me

I didn't really mind doing it. Especially since it isn't required for anything. (Besides comp/master quest cape)

#

If they do change it, why would they need to reimburse people?

in my opinion it should not even be a miniquest, and just be post-quest content for koschei's troubles, to me that fulfills the change i want which is moving mahjarrat memories from qc to mqc

Currently you don’t need to do miniquests for quest cape, other than miniquests such as The Curse of Zaros that are specifically required to start a main quest. Source: I have quest cape and haven’t done all the mini quests.
