RS3 Casual and New Iron

I'm looking to find an ironman focused clan that is welcoming to new players. I've played a good chunk of OSRS but wanted to invest in an Iron in RS3 so I'm essentially brand new.

I've been seeing a lot of posts about ironman vs solo group ironman and had a couple questions.

1. Auras seem extremely beneficial but I also like the hi-scores so non-competitive group seems not as fun to me. Can I group for raids and other content as a standard ironman?

2. How bad is the stigma around being a solo gim? Reddit/Google lead me to believe I'm either going to be getting flamed 24/7 or no one actually cares.

To your questions:

1. Yes, you can group for content as an iron, but generally needs to be with other irons for group bosses, other bosses need to be done solo
2. Never seen this stigma myself, but I don't hang in iron social media, and definitely doesn't exist in my clan

In my clan, we're pretty helpful, got a good atmosphere to help you, we're not iron only, but got plenty of clannies running irons with good advice, we've got a number people also in you're progression in the game, and plenty beyond that

I co-own a clan called The Campfire. We're a friendly group of experienced and new players alike, we joke around and chill by the fire.

We love to answer questions, provide help, and hang out together for skilling and PvM sessions; We also host social events!

To answer your questions:

1. Irons can go bossing with non-irons. So if we do a raid, you would be able to join. Same for all other bosses.

2. There's no stigma I have seen. You will find that the people on Reddit tend to act a bit high and mighty, in other words, it's toxic to an extent. No one is going to know you're a solo GIM unless you tell them, and even then I doubt anyone is going to care - no one in our clan would.

1. The auras are a great perk! In a slightly oversimplified way, you have competitive group (can only do group content within the group), ranked group (new accounts that formed a group) and unranked (e.g. a "normal" iron that formed a group). So you can make a new iron (if yours is very new) to join a group and be ranked (on hiscores) but not competitive (can boss outside of the group). Only competitive is locked to content within their group, unranked and ranked group and ironman that are not in a group are all able to do content with anyone.

2. Same as the others have said, I haven't really seen any stigma around solo gim; all you'd have is the gim logo and people wouldn't know you're solo unless you said.
