#Stop releasing common items with ridiculously high initial value

Case in point this week is the candy cane tokens. They were initiated to 100m each, and many are selling <1m on day of release.

Discrepancies like this are used by scammers to rip off ignorant people.

Devs should be able to set a realistic price target based on the rarity that won't be off by two orders of magnitude, and algorithms should also be faster to update with new items.

I think lowballing the price is better in this case. give them a value of like 1k, then quickly correct based on ge sales. it's nicer to find that your 1k value item sold for a few hundred k, rather than your 100m item not selling and eventually finding out it's just a few hundred k. and as mentioned, scammers use them on players who are not informed - part of the blame has to be put on the ridiculous initial price - of course, scammers gonna scam. don't make it so easy for them!!

I agree, but for what its worth, anyone who doesn't have the top secret santa title yet can donate 2 of the candy canes to get the title 😄
