#Semi-Casual Ironman Seeking (Preferably Very) Left-Leaning Ironman-focused Clan

Requirements

To simply things, here is a bullet-pointed list of what I'm looking for from a clan.

  • Ironman-Focused or Ironman Exclusive
    I am exclusively an ironman player and do not have any normal account for RS3. I enjoy offering advice to newer ironmen and though I am high level I appreciate the advice and assistance of more experienced players as I move towards higher-end content.
  • Some combination of: Explicitly Leftist Politics, LGBTQIA+ Leadership, Anti-Right Wing Hatred, with no rule against political discussion.
    I do not have any interest in tolerating chud-like behavior, dogwhistles, or half-hearted centrist pleas for a "non-political" space. I am trans and would like to freely be able to talk about trans issues that are currently being deemed political.
  • Friendly, welcoming environment towards newer players.
    I don't really like elitist behavior and while it isn't nearly the problem on RS3 that it is on OSRS, I really would prefer if the clan(especially leadership) didn't participate in it.

About Me(Runescape)
I got into RS3 during the pandemic and no-lifed it until I had the max cape, but took an extended break when I realized I would need to learn to actually PvM to progress.
I am back now, just finished Necromancy 99 and reclaimed my max cape. I'm looking to get more into the endgame content, group content, and eventually when I'm emotionally and mentally prepared clean out my bank.

About Me(Non-Runescape)
I'm a 30-ish ace trans woman from the US(EST timezone) who plays a lot of MMOs on and off. WoW(Retail and classic), FFXIV, and RS3 are the primary games in my rotation of MMOs but I have also played a somewhat extensive amount of OSRS, GW2, ESO, Rift(before MTX😩), PSO2(before NGS😩), as well as a plethora of smaller MMOs. My very first MMO was Phantasy Star Online Ep. 1 & 2 for the Gamecube.

I am a hobby writer(mostly RP), I enjoy several non-MMO games, especially online card games(yugioh is my burden to bear) and I've recently begun collecting pokemon cards.

Why am I looking for a clan now?
I left my previous clan(of several years) when I was chastised and told I wasn't a fit for the clan for making a joke about how the fairy ring code for the backwards joke realm of ScapeRune is CIS and was told that my lighthearted joke about cis people would make trans people feel uncomfortable, and then when I inquired further was told it would also make them feel unsafe. If mentioning cis or trans people exist in a joke breaks your clan rules I will probably not be interested.

we're the oldest ironman clan and largely social, though we have frequent pvm as well

we specifically have muted/kicked for repeated 'attack helicopter'-style jokes in the past

#

we don't prohibit political discussion (we had to temporarily prohibit vaccine discussion at one point), but we also have right wing members who we would expect you to be respectful to if you joined

(I'm personally centre-left and a member of the UK Labour Party)

Ahh the no political discussions rule. That was brought in to avoid people giving shit to others for their political beliefs. Like @rancid rover alluded to above in his post about being respectful of the political beliefs of others, there were a few in my clan who are no longer members who were not respectful. I honestly don't see an issue with political discussion as long as its respectful.

I am also centre left, not a member of any political party though 🙂

Personally of the opinion that there are some very popular political beliefs that should not be respected or even humored due to the very popular support for violence, hatred, and genocide

Would tend to agree, but I also run a fair sized clan with people from lots of backgrounds which is why we have that rule, so that people aren't toxic to one another which is where political discussions in a large group usually leads.

Maybe a smaller clan is what you are looking for. I've seen a few advertised here and have a few friends running another called Iron Combat. Let me know if you want me to link you in with them or maybe you can lurk in their CC and check them out 🙂
