Surprised to see that no one has mentioned this yet, but POHs are extremely dated. Moving from a main zone into your house winds up is pretty jarring because of how ancient and shitty the textures look now.
It's probably too much of a hassle (maybe not even worth it?) to revamp POHs as a whole, but getting some polish on the textures and skyboxes would be great. Being able to pick a consistent style of grass would also be nice.
I can forgive that the use for housing is a thing of the past but I cannot forgive how ugly they are 😔
It would be great to get a proper revamp with decorating freedoms one day; housing is hugely popular in MMOs these days and it's a shame to see it so waysided in RS.

yeah well fort is essentially instanced and having your own more customizable area you can show friends is cool asf

I had and idea concerning this the other day, what if they allowed the player to take inspiration from archaeology to apply to their PoH. For instance ground with the same texture as those found at a digsite (consumes digsite soil x1000), as well as wall design, and on the subject of wall design throw in the wall styles found within Dameonheim too because those would look great on a house.

So much they could do to pohs. Has tons of potential. I know it's not the best incentive, but even when it comes to mtx there's tons they could do with it. I wonder if that has even crossed the minds of the mods. I bet people would pay for poh reskins, special furniture, servants, and other things. Just look at Minecraft.

Last I heard, can’t recall where, apparently POH will likely never be touched again as it’s too old with spaghetti code - too many things outside poh can break if it were touched. We don’t want another Falador Massacre due to some oversight in unraveling poh code 😳 🤪
