The process of getting normal ashes is suffering. The process of getting prayer ashes is afkable. The difference in QOL is obvious. At least let the ones dropped by abyss critters and other such things count with the bonecrusher and bone note relic.

ashes are now a viable low/mid level money maker for f2p and p2p new players. obviously demand is way higher than production right now, but it will eventually level out, we're only a few days in on a brand new massive skill.
making bone crusher upgrade / bone note relic work would be nice though. i can agree on that. though porters and premiere artifact are a reasonable, though not AFK alternative

demonic ashes already have a ton of uses between prayer training and incense. ashes were functionally worthless. if we allowed substitutes, they'd go back to being just as worthless. this is a long term sustainable use for them going forward.

The other ashes based on rarity should allow more ink production.
