As more and more ways to skip logical progression through the skill are released, the learning curve becomes steeper and steeper for people who have never done group dg. People can't figure it out > nobody is there to help > they leave > there are less people doing dg overall > rinse and repeat. At this point some of the only active "communities" running floors are scummy leech services. The perception of dg is getting more toxic every day as that becomes the norm since nobody can find teams elsewhere.
We've had a solution to this problem for years, it's just never been implemented in a way that's been useful to anyone. Those glowing doors around Daemonheim that are meant to auto-form teams that nobody has ever used because they're pointless? Transport people in them to an instance shard world where everyone in the game looking to dg at that level will be waiting for them.
No more jumping through fcs, clans, forums, and discord servers to desperately try and find people who aren't just after a payout and actually wanna play. Just go to the floor theme of your choosing (or free for all if you're not picky) and have at it. You can't tell me that 3-5 people at near any given time in the whole game aren't looking to run floors. Give them a meaningful way to connect with one another. The system is right there already, it's just always been isolated to every individual world, rendering it useless.
