It's 400 for members but only 100 for free to play and there is a horrendous amount of bots on free to play, including the youtube spammers

I mean show up randomly, only mute and ban the spammers and bots.
Make the arrival time random and they don't have a safe time do peddle their nonsense/

i mean the real solution would be to just have a better system in place to auto-ban bot accounts because it's absurd how many there are, but in the interim this would at least leave room for free players to not have to mute local chat or world hop to avoid the spam

To be fair to Jagex, making their auto-ban systems better without increasing the chance of splash damage is not exactly easy.

Maybe even an option to auto-delete oldest entry, or even auto-delete banned accounts from ignore list?

lowkey love the idea of auto-deleting accounts from everyone's ignore lists if the account is perma-banned. i definitely cant be bothered to remember why i blocked most of the people i have and i expect most other people cant either
