For the ultra rarity it is to obtain this component the perks produced by it is underwhelming. New perks/upgrades should be introduced that uses it and gives its rarity/cost actual worth.

Its part in adding Prosper to skilling gizmos is not to be underestimated, but I DO think we need to have far more perks in general. And more predictable ways to get obscure perks like this, but that is a balancing act I am ill equipped to attempt.

Maybe make a new ED that has a single guaranteed drop that gives that component? Attach it to an equipment item, and it should slowly help make them more easy to get.
They probably want to do something like that for lore reasons anyway, just to explore what the Third Age was.
I don't think it'll fuck with the price too much, at least short term. 3a component items don't really trade much anyway, so there isn't much of an economy to fuck with at all.

people who do enough clues to get a lot of third age don't generally sell it
because by the time you've got 2 3a pieces you've also got 10 dyes
but I'd rather have thematic components from anachronia ('jurassic components'?) or GWD3 ('elder components'?) than to revive 3a comps without thematic content

If there was a Divine perk or something for items related to Gods that could also give Demon Slayer at equal rates then I'd be happy.

You can get the comps for free, but it's painfully slow. Basically, I killed 480k corrupt scorpions and only got 40 3rd age comps from scav4
