#Improved Construction Contracts

Construction contacts seem to be a fairly overlooked method of training construction and it appears to be lacking a lot.

My suggestion is to improve on construction contracts to make it more interesting and appealing. To do so, I suggest making use of the various estate agents around the world to provide local contract options that scale with level.

Currently I could go to the estate agent in Prifdinnas & request a contract. I'll get a contract for a small number of NPCs around Varrock, Edgeville, Lumbridge or Draynor... This is a fairly closely knit area, far away from where I am currently and doesn't really give any benefit to my level. It gets very boring & repetitive after a while.

My proposal is that each estate agent provides contracts for their local area & has skill requirements to fulfil their contracts... For example, we could start with the estate agent in Varrock and level 1. He gives basic contracts in the existing areas like Varrock, Lumbridge, Draynor... These require basic materials to complete. We can then move onto the estate agent in Falador at say, level 30 construction. Slightly higher tier contracts in the areas of say, Falador, Port Sarim and Taverley. Require the next tier of construction materials, provides slightly higher credits and slightly higher XP rates. We then work our way up through the estate agents until we get to the Prifdinnas estate agent. He requires level 75 construction and gives much more lucrative contracts around Prifdinnas, requiring much more exotic materials like marble & gold leaf, providing the best rate of construction credits and XP rates.

The existing mechanic could remain where lower tier materials provide lower credit & XP rates, making it more beneficial to use the higher tier material, but not mandatory... however lower tier contracts would only allow lower tier materials.

I feel that this would make construction contracts a more interesting way to train construction 🙂

The one main thing that annoys me about contracts is that the shop is useless onc you unlock everything since it has no consumable or repeatable rewards.

This is a good point as well. I honestly hadn't considered that. I'm really only doing them right now for the sake of the completionist cape 😛

I agree, a repeatable reward would be good. Maybe something akin to Herby Werby that offers lamps with related skill XP. This could work as a repeatable reward 🙂
