We could add a new weapon option to attack helicopters: a machine gun that can fire instantly without any spin-up time, but it will overheat. This would set it apart from the current machine gun, which requires a spin-up period but never overheats.
Each of the two machine guns has its own strengths and weaknesses, which feels well-balanced. The existing one excels at sustained fire and delivers heavy firepower, while the new one is great for precise burst firing but lacks staying power and has a cooldown window.
