Image on the left (current version) is fine, but it’s hidden under “advanced view”.
So-called “simple view” gives me nearly 0 information about gun stats and, in my honest opinion, shouldn’t exist because it’s not informative at all and i need to press one more button on different side of screen (this is literally only one button on the right side, everything else is on the left side) every time just to see actual stats.

If “simple view” was made because “advanced view” takes too much space, then why not go back to older version? It’s compact, shows all stats and doesn’t require you to press any buttons to see them. Literally perfect solution imo.

I don’t have any problems with “advanced view” in general, but for me it seems that abstract reload time, ads and draw time numbers are weird. They have meaning while comparing two guns like “i’ll reload this gun faster than other one”, but i have no idea about their actual, not relative, reload time difference. Why can’t there be real numbers in milliseconds/seconds? I’d prefer to know actual time of reloading

I fucking hate when games rename stuff like recoil or reload time

#

Who cares just call it recoil and reload time not some stupid shit

#

It’s the dumbest thing ever and literally nobody likes it

#

Tbh i don’t even understand what “control” should mean

#

Bf6 also has this issue and it pisses me off

#

Bf4 stats while innacurate at least told you what they meant

#

Gaming is going backwards

AH Ok. I understand now

does it... help if we save your selection of view? So that you select advanced once and never have to press the button again?

#

But yes I was very confused to what your original suggestion was reading. The clarification is appreciated.

A bit more on “simple view”

Let’s imagine we have 100% vertical 0% horizontal recoil gun X, and opposite recoil gun Y.

If i understood “control” stat correctly, does it mean i’ll see 50smth on both X and Y? Those imaginary guns are absolutely opposite, which means “control” stat is really confusing

It's a bit of a magic sauce formula, not just a simple average of everything in that category, but that's a reasonable objection.
Some players just prefer a bit more simple view to look at for most cases, especially when comparing guns instead of attachments (comparing guns is possible now!). We don't want to overwhelm people with a bunch of numbers and just give them a bit more of a general overview unless they choose to deep-dive into it. But if you structurally prefer to use advanced view, I think the best solution is that we save your preference so that you won't have to keep clicking on it.

# ocean thistle It's a bit of a magic sauce formula, not just a simple average of everything in ...

Can i suggest dividing “control” into two separate vertical and horizontal recoils?
I know you are working hard on making and keeping it simple, but these two recoil types are just too important.
I’d even say that it’s fine to ignore first shot recoil and accuracy, but instead immediately tell player, even in “simple view”, which gun will kick his crosshair vertically and which will kick it horizontally. For me it’d make simple view pretty usable and much more informative than abstract formula

#

…and add accuracy to the right side of firerate and simple view will be OP

#

At the end of the day i can’t say that making separate formula to give some kind of abstract number based on 4 different unequally important stats is same to making it “simple”

If a grip affects vertical recoil but doesn’t affect horizontal it’s useless but it doesn’t say that

nimble night
#

V and H recoils are too important ¯_(ツ)_/¯

ocean thistle
#

recoil means recoil

#

there is "vertical recoil" and "horizontal recoil", but control does not equate to that.

#

same thing for handling: handling does not mean "reload". It means a lot more things.
To see reload, go to advanced view and see "reload time".

I think i’ll suggest my concept soon™

Seems like a basic feature to have

#

Isn't handling just another word for control?

#

Some games use 'ergonomics'

#

They group ads, draw time reload and some other shit

subtle canyon
#

Also make asd time, draw time, reload time actually use the standard units of TIME FFS

#

Also weight

#

What does 20 weight mean?

#

Like just use UNITS

#

Most basic shit imaginable

nimble night
# ocean thistle Hmm, yeah I get that. Perhaps...

Here’s my concept of “simple view”.

  • Less arbitrary numbers
  • ONLY Essential stats
  • And a bit smaller, but still informative
  • [A] Keybind added to toggle advanced view. Simple because this UI button is only button on the right side

#

I should add, when it comes to advanced stats, do accuracy and weight do anything?

#

Bloom doesnt seem to be a thing still

#

Weight just sounds like it would affect move speed and maybe something else, but in that case, wouldnt it be easier to just lower the stats weight would realistically affect as opposed to having weight as a seperate stat?

nimble night
#

If it only affects move speed, then why we have weight as separate stat?..

#

I think we just need to let it be “as is” for now. Maybe we’ll get explanation about it later

woven fossil
#

But again, unless it has an explicit use, why have the weight stat shown?

#

Just lower move speed and ADS if you are running a heavy attachment or something

nimble night
#

This is why i just yeeted it out if simple view

woven fossil
#

Id yeet it out of advanced too

nimble night
#

Let it stay for now until we figure out what it does

woven fossil
#

Id do the same with accuracy

nimble night
woven fossil
#

Cause i dont see what it does

I’m about to make a concept of my vision of loadout screen

Yea i already have similar ideas, but slightly different approach

If you're gonna have an advanced tab

May I ask which version the picture on the right is? I don't think I've ever seen it before.
