The TTK changes are so buns

besides it being unplayable for more than 15 minutes at a time, the ttk sucks, the fog sucks, the night mode sucks, the star wars tracers suck, the new gun names suck

Fog is a part of the larger visibility issue. Everything is so sharp and defined and contrast-y it makes spotting players so much harder.
Oh yeah and those voicelines can go
Goofy as hell and they don't even make sense. Why is a russian talking like an american action hero?

not only they tried making the game feel like a battlefield game, it also ruined the game. the new update doesn't feel like bbr anymore, it feels like overhauled-lego-battlefield game.
from what i have seen its no longer the game i bought years ago
thats what makes bbr differ from other games. if the team wants the game to go from this blocky arcade game to blocky realism game, might as well play battlefield instead.
I dont mind some of the BF stuff they added but they did it so, so badly

It looked like a solid beta, now it's looking way more like a final version, but we have to wait for some fixes and of course whatever they want to add or change
Hmm in my case it doesn't (20) People DO NOT talk, not even asking help or anything, there should be an option to deactivate your character voice if you like to talk, but it's ok for the many that are silent and lacking from expressivity

Alright, time to list my grievances with the playtest:
- Performance - Self explanatory for the most part.
- Visuals - Game looks pretty in general, but it is to the detriment of the performance and visual clarity as well. Some of the effects are way too much, like why does breaking stuff, especially crates, create so many particles? Greatly lower the amount or just remove all of them for smaller objects, its ridiculous. Also jesus tracers are WAY too long and enemy tracers being red is silly and makes it look like they are firing lasers. Also, lines of the medic box and the ammo box to display their range? Really? They also look terrible.
- UI/UX - Nothing special. It works. It isn't ugly or anything. Even on lower settings stuff was visible.
- Guns, attachements and gun stats - There are glaring issues that are noticable by just watching someone else play. TTK goes up to almost 700ms, only the best weapons in this patch are 400ms. I have already posted some examples above, with there being worse ones, especially the LMGs. Everything is wrong with them. Visual recoil is awful, real recoil doesnt exist. Identities of guns have been ruined, their usable range is abysmal, velocities are all over the place, attachments dont have that much identity either, and the mags are still completely and utterly unbalanced, inconsistent and pure nonsense to hell and back. It feels like nothing was taken or learned in terms of guns, especially knowing that the headshot multiplier is 1.1x. The bipod is also very bad and way too strict to use.
- Movement - I used to be fine with tac sprint, not anymore, remove it. Prone turn speed needs to be faster and without a warning for it. Minor tuning might be required for everything else.
- Class balancing - Get rid of class HP, make it consistent across the board. Period. Reshuffle gadgets a bit too.
- Cosmetics - Player cosmetics are good overall. Gun cosmetics of most alt models and attachments are great. But, the current system of camos is gone, so no more mix and matching. Just a PNG slapped on the ENTIRE GUN. And a lot are very bright for some reason, unpleasantly so. Charms also look nice, as well as most of the new reticles.
- Audio - It was kinda buggy, but most of the sounds in general are great. The voicelines are goofy tho. Id remove most voicelines, maybe only have radio chatter ("they have taken X objective", "X team winning", and to announce major levelation events). With better voice acting.
- Destruction - 2 steps fowards, but also 1 step back. Glad guns can damage weaker cover and leave smaller holes through them. Great change. At the same time, buildings being far less limited in terms of floor access and explosives not properly destroying segmented cover is really bad.
- Gadgets - They gotta retweak some of these, ranging from what class can access what, to nerfing/buffing gadgets properly. Anti nade now is the size of a chair. C4 even for my standards was stupidly nerfed. Ammo box butchered, revert it back with proper UI. (I would say something about the med box if i had any idea how it works at all, let alone see someone using it). Smoke grenade was clearly overnerfed.
Additionally:
While some of the promised things were delivered, the playtest just missed the mark in gameplay and performance, especially gameplay. I am not a fan of the direction the game is going in gameplay wise after this playtest. Part of it was not even mentioned to us to even discuss, especially the changes to the signature gadgets of almost all classes.
Please improve the communication to the players in the future, and make these playtests properly playable. Maybe it will help regain some players back.
Even for a techical playtest, for which I expected to be buggy to some extent, it was just disappointing and killed even more good will in me, the community and anyone who considered buying this.
Guess I should not have expected anything better after 2 years.

ammo boxes is unbeleivably ass i think theyre perfect in the live game and dont need changes.
remove almost all of the visual recoil and add back actual recoil. in the playtest everey gun fell the same with attachments, incredibly laser beamy but god aweful damage fall off. increase the range damage on guns but limit their range through bloom or recoil
visual clutter was honestly one of my biggest gripes. i dont need camera shake from some guy shooting bullets in my general direction thank you very much. also the weird ass haze/fog needs to go

So you could in theory just say fuck you, run into frugis tunnels and it still explodes whilst you’re dead.
As long as the enemies are still near your body they still die.
As for moving targets or people with pulses… yeah they’re probably fine
One thing im confused on is why they removed grapple from assault whilst also removing aggressive recon playstyles.
Do we not want people to ptfo more effectively, or help their team push?

And the random timer is due to the average terrorist’s less than professional wiring skills fucking up the detonation

But im not sure, theres legit no footage of it being used more than once
Suicide c4 has a small random variance in its detonation timer.
