Like in real life, we reward the soldiers who held the line when most would run away. The devs should show some appreciation for the players who kept the pulse of the game beating the last 1,5 years and give them some sort of exclusive reward. This could come in any shape or form: Player medals linked to their ingame profile, visible in the death screen when killed by that player; a star next to their name in the leaderboard; skins; changed colour of their name in the leaderboard; etc. Whatever it is, just some way of saying thank you, here have a treat. I accept that i dont really know how to implement this, maybe they have access to the steam data to see which accounts played the game in the last year or so idk
