#Heres a suggestion: post updates on steam

oh wait its probably because yall tryna hide the fact that the game is abandonware and that this next update is going to be a sham
You wanna know why they dont update steam as of lately? Heres your answer
how would letting people know the game is still being worked on give the wrong impression? saying nothing on steam for almost 2 years is giving the wrong impression
Considering how any info on the update has been received up to this point, anything that does not include a release date will be received negatively
Until they have said date it will not be a wise decision
As good as it will be for others to get info on the update, people will bitch how there is not an ETA

‘Right around the corner’ like the april 2024 update
remember when "they meant april next year" was a joke instead of something people thought was actually possible
There is a better way of suggesting, but yes I kind of agree with OP. I understand that people are going to get angry if the update isn't big. However I feel like if the devs just show them that they are still working on it, people will respond better to a massive update.
At this point if a massive update goes live, I feel like people would respond to it with skepticism because of the lack of information and updates.
If it were me, I would push out regular small patches and communicate with the community on Steam.
Just want to agree with this post.
The excuse of it being the first post in five months is insane. You are just exacerbating the issue further. Now itll be the first post in over a year.
Steam reviews are in the gutter. Everyone believes this game is dead and abandoned.
You know what would fix that?
Making more than one post
Communication, imagine it
That was excuse at the given time, which was sometime last year after april and before they got their control version screwed over
Update also was not as large as it is now, back then it was just the audio overhaul, and basically they didnt want to ping everyone over a nothing burger bug fix after 5 months
As it is however there is no excuse for a lack of any wide spread info
Yeah that doesn't really change my opinion at all. I still love the game, and will come back for update. But I wonder if there will even be a community large enough for a game by then.
Tbh a large community return is unlikely. Most people moved to bf4 or they’re waiting for bf6
Facts
This whole thing with delaying update is understandable from dev perspective but in reality there are some things that wont be fixed that easily.
For eg. , eu official server was full for most days of the week in some specific hours, but that was a month ago
For a month already , official EU server is dead, people are playing on Eagle server which is not bad but from what I personally was used to , not it.
It is just sad to watch this
I hope that the update will change something , I have saw games that have had an great comeback with overhaul
People got tired of half the team being a sniper that never PTFOs among other things (24/7 conquest on the same 4 maps instead of mode/map variety is a big one)
We still have it of course, just with other stuff mixed in (recently swapped to 10 which is conquest, domi, fl currently with CTF maybe being added soon based on feedback.)
You can’t be shocked of people’s gripes with the game going so unanswered to the point of where the community says screw it, we’ll do it ourselves. This is a community driven game after all
