If someone doesn't like it, you can do it as an option

it literally has a keybind for it

past wolf
chrome canopy

most all rebind it to the same key

polar patio
#

Rn not beneficial to bind both to the same key

#

Dragging slows you down and sometimes its better to yeet the body or move and revive at the same time

chrome canopy
#

to grab and bandage? its the norm, and has been since the start

#

and yes, there are reasons not to do it, most still do

#

anyway at least its a choice, I doubt its gonna be one in BF6

polar patio
#

But if you need someone in cover fast or to just keep yourself alive, its better to seperate them

chrome canopy
#

unless your a medic

#

in which case it doesn't matter

polar patio
chrome canopy
#

it doesn't slow you down, so unless you are the spin bot type, it doesnt effect you

The main problem is that 90% of players don't drag a body during resurrection because they don't know about this mechanic or it hard for them. If automatic grabbing were enabled by default, it would be better for most. Everyone else can set up as they like

anyway medic is much faster while dragging

polar patio
#

Yeah id still not prefer auto drag

I see players die to having drag and bandage double bound pretty often. They will accidentally grab downed enemies while bandaging themselves and running to cover. Or they have too many conflicts in keybinds and accidentally enter exit and enter vehicles while bandaging. Sometimes, they will revive other players outside of cover because the time to drag a player to cover is longer than the time to revive.

But we don't know what the update will bring. If something like this were implemented, I think it would be best to be able to separate keybinds for bandaging yourself and reviving others. And also changing the default drag mechanic to hold instead of toggle.

#

A side note - currently, if you hold 3 (or whatever your bandage keybind is), the game chooses to either bandage you or bandage others (this leads to frustration). If you tap 3 and swap to bandage, you can use right mouse to bandage others and left mouse to bandage yourself. The prompt says to hold 3, so I don't think most people know.

polar patio
#

That last part REALLY annoys me

#

Its often better to hold 3 to bandage myself as it automatically goes back to whatever i had equipped before

#

Its simply faster, but having to do the longer way to avoid bandaging someone else sucks

People camp bodies all the time, in those situations fling it out of harms way and make the guy come to you

#

Also you main support why are you complaining about medics wanting to be fast to avoid danger whilst reviving, are you that same person camping bodies? skullSpin

main support?

So doing a quick 180 turn to chuck the body in that direction is being a “spinbot” player?

#

Because that’s how I do it on the rare occasions I play medic (which I still think is the weakest class but besides the point)

deft rose
#

Im telling you I can see the conflict of interest because you’re a positional player who would camp those bodies

#

Nothing wrong with that if you want to deny revives, I just find it funny you think people finding ways around such tactic is a problem

polar patio
#

This actually makes so much sense now

high marten
#

Being able to fling is dumb but we have wannabe squad medic bs so eh whatever

deft rose
#

Dont worry guys, camping away from the objective in the middle of nowhere will save the game

Source: trust me bro I play HLL and teamkill when someone doesn’t play in a super serious way like I do

chrome canopy
#

hell i don't even play engi as much anymore and stick with medic

deft rose
#

joeshrug either way flinging people around is a strategy

#

Even if you think it’s dumb, situatuonal, whatever, it has uses.

#

And it will until 360ing/fast turning witth movement gets adjusted in the soon™

chrome canopy
#

Literally doesn’t affect flinging? Like at all? Grabbing is what slows you down not reviving. If you’re flinging the guy away, why does it matter?

#

ppl really double bind bandaging and dragging?
