Ive been playing with extended mags more recently to change things up and while they can be fun some are straight up atrocious or you really have to compensate for the sheer movement reduction you get
Extendos just suffer from having downsides that are way too harsh
Like if i were to take the extendo on the FAL, besides the recoil penalties which i think are stupid, ADS and reload are fine for the most part and would require minimal tweaking
Real kicker is the movement speed debuff
It has worse movement speed than a LMG

Maybe short mag to offset the ammo count, but I don’t see a situation in which they wanna give more LMGs quick mag, especially when long reloads are supposed to be a downside with so much ammo
and plus quick mags likely getting nerfed anyways, as it currently stands it is a straight upgrade from default mags
