Bringing back this dead horse for fun.

Watched a veritasium video on voting. Seems like objectively the best voting method.

TLDR: just let players click on what maps they'd like to play on. No limit to number of picks, no rankings, just click on what maps you're cool with. Pick the one with the most number of approvals. In case of tie, roulette between the tied maps.

Is basically a "yea I'm good with this one" system. Ties will form mostly from players who wanted most of the tied maps.

If you wanna be funny, you could have a 0.5% chance for ties to go to the map with the lowest approval score.

Bring back mario kart voting

Mario kart or random mode/map voting is a must for officials if they truly want them to retain variety. That’s all I will say because we’re beating a dead horse as it is

As always, it depends on execution

Solution is simple:
Step 1: Put mario cart voting on officials
Step 2: Let community make 24/7 XYZ map servers

Step 3: remove infy conq from official rotation for 127 and 64

#

You want variety you have to force it otherwise guess what the all mode servers going to be?

Could always do a map elimination method, aka eliminate all but the 2 maps with highest votes, and then everyone picks between those two, kinda like a runoff election.

If one map has somehow gotten more than 50% of all possible votes, then maybe it can skip the second vote.
