An equipment, not sure for what class but it pops the wheels of vehicles. The wheels can be repaired by an engineer but the time it takes to repair them gives enough time to be ambushed, which would be the purpose of the trap

#

they should also deal 5 damage to a person if they step on them

spice ledge
#

Or just slow them down because you would have to step over them carefully

#

Irl I doubt it would actually cause you pain you would just step over it

#

So just slow a bit

digital radish
#

depends on what type of spikes they are, but I think it would be funny to deal a small amount of damage to a person running on top of them

fair oracle
#

why would you use these? useless for tanks and btr and all other vehicles die to a mine?

gta sa flat tyre physics 🔥

digital radish

btr has wheels lol

fair oracle
# digital radish btr has wheels lol

"BTR vehicles [...] utilize bulletproof, tubeless tires, often with a central air pressure regulation system. [...], allowing the vehicle to continue moving for up to 200 kilometers even after puncture and loss of air pressure"

digital radish
#

And?

#

thats for punctures, ripping the tires up is a bit more than a few punctures.

#

just use a bigger bed of spikes.

fair oracle
#

or just use mines?

digital radish
#

or just have another option, maybe as a buildable instead of a gadget

fair oracle
#

buildable makes more sense

#

but i still do not really get their purpose

#

cars are not that fast that you require that to hit them. Beside no engi uses repair tool so those cars would be dead once spiked

digital radish
#

I mean, the same for barbed wire. why use that when you can just use any other buildable to do the same job but they also cant shoot you

#

its something else that might not be the best option, but its another option to use that has its own uses

fair oracle
#

barbed wire has a different job than builable cover.
Slowing down, sound and being able to shoot them

while mines -> vehicle kill
spikes -> vehicle disable -> vehicle kill

the only purpose i see rn is vehicle stealing

digital radish
#

Barbed wire does not do anything more than buildable cover, except that you can shoot through it. Arguably, it's worse at slowing them down because, unlike cover, they can just c4 it away in less than a second

fair oracle
#

cover goes both ways barbed wire does not

digital radish
#

read that again

Imma be real this is one of those things that sound good on paper but would be really annoying in reality (with the current state of vehicles that is)

#

Thats all imma say

spice ledge
#

Like you wait in a nearby building and then come out when their tires pop

#

Maybe any class can repair the tires but engi does it fastest

copper otter
#

Well just saying, with how vehicles are atm, it would just make them unusuable or very annoying to use with that in place

#

If maps are a bit more off road friendly id be kinda fine with it

#

Just saying

Fun idea

#

Why not just shoot the drivers and take the car

#

I’m sure there would be uses found for it besides mines

#

Maybe it’s a buildable

#

So more classes can do it

#

But it doesn’t affect tanks

fair oracle
spice ledge
#

Point is to set up ambushes

#

And if it’s a buildable it’s less restricted than mines

Fun idea, but I dont think it's worth to try.

Wires appear for countering infantry because they are too many, and mines disappear when destroy.

In contrary, vehicles not much yet. I rarely see an engi use vehicle mines even on big road. Rpg and c4 work so well, plus the vehicles condition right now is kinda meh, really doubt that someone use spikes just to steal enemy vehicles.

AT mines niche uses (shredding buildings if used right, large funny manual explosive traps with grenades involved) got nerfed to the ground, C4 covers those uses better thanks to said nerfs on AT, whilst AT mine has maybe 1 rare scenario where its useful (trying to kill vehicles leaving spawn) and C4 still manages to do that better because chances are you’re respawning or the mine gets blown up before it even sees use.
