there are community servers with lower respawn timers. the main ones that you will see with players are Bobs Battlebit Community and e4gl infantry paradise
i know this but game is pretty much dead so officiale is only one and is bad
yea, long spawn timer is absolutely annoying when playing with assault class especially. Like, in other classes usually my lifetime is fine, but on assault I'm dying too frequently. It is ofc because of my playstyle at this class, but if spawn timer was a bit shorter it would be a lot better for the gameplay.

it's been talked to death that a higher ttk doesn't help people that much, apart from minimizing instant deaths

With higher ttk your average lifetime should be higher I suppose, maybe I'm wrong?

Higher TTK = more time to retaliate/ retreat, but also more effort to kill one and/or more people

kills already barely matter and my man wants even faster respawn times
Kills do matter, but the current state of defending due to weird changes like limiting sandbag placements make it less so from a defense standpoint, specifically in regards to objective play.
Also squad spawning LoS shit still being weird
I get the other side but I feel like this is more of the result of “slap a quick bandage fix on it and call it a day!” being done one too many times
And before someone says “this would make medic suck” in regards to respawn times, medic is already the weakest class in the game objectively right now. That kit need buffs which would make medkit healing others and reviving teammates feel like less of a deathtrap, fast respawns or not
Medic kit sucks for so many reasons that tbh if you were to lower the timer, but resolve every other thing that makes medic suck, it would ultimately be fine
agree to disagree then, but the squad spawning is terrible for it to be this long + tbh i couldn't care about medics bc its not like i get picked up like 90% of the time. i'd also disagree that it would make kills matter less, but that's again my opinion.
this is a bit laughable as sometimes there are squadmates it allows me to spawn on in a bad position and i die instantly.

However, it is unrelated to the TTK, as opposed to the fact that squad spawning does not work properly
