A wall sensor (round) to place in entrace, when placed a straight green laser appears and it touches the other side of the wall.

Reason: There are many places/spots where you have to look out for more than 1 entrance, if you're alone or maybe 2 of you it can be hard, especially if you have to hold the position, placing barricades/mines/wire can be useful but easily bypassed if the enemy doesnt make any sound.

This item can be very useful to player who's playstyle is "holding" the objective to avoid enemy respawn or simply waiting for reinforces

For class:
Engineer / Support

Amount: 1 or 2

How it works:

  1. Can only be placed if on the other side there's a structure (with maybe a fixed range, like 5-10 meters)

  2. If the structure/object on the other side gets destroyed, the sensor automatically stop working

  3. When place, an icon appear on the lower screen, indicating the sensor is on, icon is of a green colors (dark color, not too bright bright, maybe with some transparency)

  4. If an enemy steps into the laser/surpass the laser, the icon become a bright red for 1-2 seconds (Maybe a sound?)

  5. If your teammates of your squad are near the sensor (10-20 meters) they will also have an icon

  6. If multiple sensor are placed (Because you place more than one or teammates) the icon will have a small number near it, yours will be always the first one

  7. Placing more than 1 or 2 will automatically make disappear the oldest one you placed

  8. When you equip it in your hands, the place system is the same as the barricades, but it becomes green only when horizontal and if it detects a wall/object on the other side

Other stuff not so sure about it:

  1. Sensor laser can be seen if enemy is either support or engineer, the color needs to be not to bright or too easy to spot

Just add sound queues to barbed wire

#

we dont need to reinvent the wheel, just buff the existing tool that’s supposed to do the same thing

#

Not that im opposed to adding sound cues to it to serve as a sensor of sorts, just saying

#

Either way, i cant say the sensor fits BBR

'oh shit my sensor went o-' dies to sweaty nerd c4

#

i like the barbed wire sound cues more

Dude just use a claymore

#

It’s literally the EXACT same thing but it kills people

native forge
#

Mfw claymores are bugged

kindred dew
#

me when i step on a claymore and get a kill from it

next viper
#

So that’s irrelevant

#

Because they would be fixed way before wall sensors got added

kindred dew
#

claymores can be jumped over if you see the funny black line

#

or walked around or set off with gun/c4

#

im not saying that i like wall sensors but claymores just arent the same thing

#

if barbed wire gave a sound cue it might actually have a reason for existing other than being annoying

next viper
#

It is literally the exact same thing as the claymore but more useless

native forge
#

Not quite, the sensor would be more of a reconissance gadget per say and less obvious than mines and claymores

#

just r6 proxy sensor then?

native forge
#

Especially claymores since you can see them from a mile away with those goofy ass lines

next viper
#

That’s literally more noticeable

its just a redundant gadget

No laser

next viper
#

it wouldnt have any way of noticing it first and avoiding it

#

im fine with that but devs wouldnt be

#

remember, we are getting not only nade indicators, but also c4 and drone indicators

#

no way they would make it have no laser

Instead of new gadget, I'd prefer laser one as a custom skin for claymore, like hammer and pickaxe

next viper
#

One that makes the wires red lasers instead

#

Like Carl duty claymores

About sensor, I'd love to have sensor ball like bf4, can throw them like nade and get some information, not long lasting or give too much infomations

we already have that, you just need a good headset and mute everyone
