I hate going to revive somone that automatically hits the space bar. Maybe make them wait in their corpses for 5 seconds before the spacebar drain kicks in. Also would be cool if you used the downed teamates bandages. Also would be cool if the reviving teamate got a special marker for the rest of the match. That way you can track who you owe a revive too, and you know who to team up with. You could also put text "revived by..." at the bottom of the screen so you know who to thank. Speaking of text on screen. In night vision you get text for using a scope. It should only pop up once per map, if that.

Nope. Absolutely not. Delay timer before “give up” would be used for trolling/xp farm by bad actors.

Rest of this is just additional UI stuff that isn’t needed/would probably be better suited for medals if they still plan to go through with that.

I think the only revive tweak that should be made is stopping the bleedout when reviving a person

Its kinda annoying when you start reviving but you are off by a milisecond and they perish

If they want to quit they can still use space

And dear god dont make revives use the victims bandage

If losing a bandage over a revive bums out people that much, then have the option to make revives free but slower compared to a bandage

If you still want to revive someone without wasting a bandage now you have the option

I had a suggestion where it simply sets the bleed out speed as the default that occurs while not holding space.

Basically if you revive while they hold space, they bleed out at the rate they would have if they did not hold space.

Forced mechanics that could lead to bad plays or trolling aren’t a good idea. Give up is basically the way to get out of those “bad revive” moments. User feedback (even something as simple as “X player is reviving you!” would probably be better for reducing the chances of giving up too quickly.

Could work too, provided it doesn’t lock the player being revived into the state of accepting or denying it on a loop.

Point is it should never be “forced” onto the player, let them make that decision themselves. (And communicate it well enough because lets be real nobody sees the current one in time if they’re already giving up)

Yeah that’s fine, a last “Last stand like mode” whilst deciding to die or keep fighting like BF3 works. Just don’t make it impossible to escape a die/revive loop and it will likely incentivize people to get up and keep fighting.

im stressing that point for a reason devs pls do not fumble the bag when changing up the revive mechanic

if you reject the revive, you go to spawn screen, no chance to be revived. i forget if you die while in the down but not out state if you can be revived again. if you accept the revive, it acts as normal.

Iirc in bf4 if you die during the accept or deny revive part, you cant be revived again

BF3 did it better imo, you had your pistol so you could still shoot someone before getting your ass up incase they were trying to camp your body
