Steamdeck no audio

So I bought a steamdeck recently and got a "decent" controller setup for it (recommend better layouts pls), it feels okay but the problem is there's no audio, master volume is maxed everything seems fine so idk what's going on

regarding audio issue - did you test any other game? can you confirm that no sound present only in battlebit?

Yes

It's only battlebit I used proton hit fix idek what proton does

I played zomboid and running with rifles, both ran excellent

I am launching it in desktop now

could you check if the game was accidentally muted? right click (hold) on game icon when minimized

are you able to minimize it while in desktop mode?

Well I can't seem to, I can minimize steam with the sidebar but idk how to do it without the sidebar

press steam button and navigate to home

I can go to home yeah

When I'm in desktop mode and I open battlebit
On proton 8.0-5
The steam button does nothing

Also how do I find that layout is it shared with community, when I remap buttons it doesn't have an option for L1 and I can't find to keyboard buttons

I'm doing a reinstall of the game to see if anything changes

i see, could you pull game logs from steamdeck? they should be under home/deck/.steam/steamapps/compatdata/671860/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/BattleBitDevTeam/BattleBit
player.log / player-prev.log files

Yeah I'll try in a bit I just got off work

So I went into the directory on desktop
Into devices/home/deck
In the deck folder there is no .steam
I tried checking in steam but could not find the file directory

I can however go into properties for battlebit after clicking the game icon

It opens with Kate maybe that's something?

look for player.log or player-prev.log files under any BattleBit named directory

Oddly zomboid is the only folder there despite having 2 other games on my desktop, I am looking

I just accidentally opened the game and I did for a split second see a mute icon, it still does not allow me to window the game or use the steam button to open the tab

i have no idea then, sorry, never used steam deck

only thing that i read of that you can unmute the game from desktop mode by right clicking game's icon
