Adding a trap to the game. The trap will do a little damage, bleed and slow down (either in the area of the trap or for a while, for example 10 seconds)

I think this is a good idea for a gadget because, well, we just don't have enough

And if you make it invisible (invisible in the grass), then it can be a big problem in open areas

Barbed wires already fill this purpose

The reason why they dont deal damage over time anymore is because of oki’s paranoia with xp farming, which this will no doubt suffer the same nerf if added.

So unfortunately it either would become inferior barbed wire, or inferior mines. It would have other players choosing different gadgets unless they’re memeing because the perks they get from this already exist in other areas, or are simply more effective on currently existing gadgets.

For me, what should be improved in Barbed Wire were two things

  • make noise when the player touches it
  • not have bars around it: as any shot can remove it and it is not big enough to place in certain areas, as players can jump, in addition to all classes having c4, which makes it lose much of its usefulness to defend perimeter
    Extra: improve the icon, as many allies confuse it with the enemy's wire, just because it is very small.

Honestly im fine with it having sound but I think the bars are needed for design reasons.

on top of that you can always just place a few in between each other to get around the "builds too small" isssue
