Come on, I'm done with dying by enemy bullets every time I swim in the surface of the water, why I can't dive under water? it would be really useful in such situations like when the helicopter falls in the water within the enemies sight, it would give us some time to hide under water and get out.

apart from yk the gun probably not working afterwards you do have the whole drowning problem, against what movies and games might have you believe swimming with extra stuff on you apart from swimwear gets pretty difficult

Guns work underwater.
and yes, it is possible to swim with gear. the length of time is what varies. most recruits can swim with full load for about half a minute, then have to remove gear for anything longer than that.
Lets not talk about combat loaded marines and SEALs that swim as part of their mission parameters.

staying above the surface and slowly moving is certainly something else that shooting, aiming or holding a gun up while staying up yourself

even if you could dive under that wouldn't save you from getting spotted and shot at, and even if getting shot at 30cm under water isn't dangerous somehow you'd still get killed when emerging

okay after searching for a bit every soldier i found said that yes you can stay afloat with gear and even "swim" but in a combat sittuation you would drop everything because otherwise its heavy and slow af. Cant find anything about swimming with bigger gear
