they showed animations for an lmg/gpmg/mmg...
(and adding gimmicky or unbalanced guns is fucking dumb.)
Theres still room for unique guns to be added
As well as making some existing ones tad more unique
Unless they are planning on adding a joke weapon or something, i dont see any gimmicky weapons coming into the game

I dont really count burst weapons as gimmicky

And the ps5 has no games,so i think we are on the right track
Also i think it can be easier to change the attachments or make some unique for the guns
Hell even just an attachment that makes the gun a dedicated burst fire weapon
How about changing the grip from your ar to a grenade launcher

doubt anybody would use its burst anyway, they'll just slap it into full auto.
Burst aren't that appeal to game world in general(except realism milsim?) IMO
You can manual burst( shoot in set with auto mode) or use single mode to shoot burst (in case you really need to rational ammo) and still get better result than burst mode .
I think a good reason for a gun to be burst limited is to allow it to be buffed in some other way, making for more unique gameplay
still burst gun aren't that good except you make it does more damage enough or have higher firerate that it out perform spam clicking to make it worth using it.
in case of high dmg but low fire rate, "Most" will just switch it to single mode
