As the game currently stands, I feel bipods are useless. They are finicky at best when making them work unlss you're prone, and then once you do get a bipod set up, it feels like they do nothing to actually assist with recoil! I honestly perform better in the same position using some sort of grip, usually vertical grip on the M249 or Ultimax100 than using a bipod to try and reduce recoil.
My suggestion would be to strengthen the reduction to vertical and horizontal recoil for LMGs when the bipod is deployed, and perhaps adding a mechanic to manually set a bipod in areas where you can and then be stationary with bipod deployed until you want to move, so you don't have to worry about the bipod underlying on accident. It doesn't have be be laser-beam levels of accurate, but I'm tired of being laser-beamed by an mp5 user at 100m when I using an m249 because of the recoil difference at those ranges. I shouldn't lose a 1v1 fight with an LMG at that range to an SMG at 100m, especially if I'm laying prone with a bipod in EXO armor while they're standing up and strafing while shooting.
