In a new devcast killcam was shown. On it you can see skin on the weapon and charm of the killer . Why not add extra information, like attachments on the weapon of your killer? Somewhere under skin+weapon image (look at the very high quality picture™).
Note: When you hover over the image you can see name of the attachment.
1 - Main sight. Hovering over it will reveal canted sights and top sights
2 - Magazine type
3 - Siderail attachment
4 - Underbarrel rail attachment
5 - Barrel attachment

"pirated version"
xd
still would be cool to see the attachments, even if its like a click to open menu so it doesn't clog peoples screens if they don't give a fuck
I did want somethign to tell if you died to a headshot or not, but this looks good so far
maybe something similar to how Valorant shows the amount of damage you receive on the parts of your body before you die I guess
that would be nice, but would also require more from the server. I was thinking just a binary switch of Headshot: Yes/No.
that said, knowing exactly how I died if I wanted too would be nice
I think maybe have that for only if the player dies to bullet damage
since explosive or impact death is different compared to bullets
well yes. but even that would just be how much % it did to you. it could work by only storing detailed info for like 5-10 seconds, and other wise, say if you are at 25% health the 75% would just be marked "previous damage"
it wouldn't be all that different from bullet damage since it has set damage and is not fragmentation they track
right we have to take heal spamming into account as well
not really
well maybe
5-10 seconds should cover that anyway
it all depends on how that would effect the server
hopefully one day Null damage will finally have a name
from the looks of the kill cam UI there seems to be a placeholder that looks like an ammo box tho I am not sure what it means
assuming if Devs are planning to allow for certain guns to have different bullet type
do you mean the Charm?
Yall mean this?
Cause thats supposed to be for when you get crushed by a building
Idk why its like that but it just is
As for this, copy the system from apex
Tells just about everything you want to know really
Who shot you, where they shot you, in what order they shot you (and in what order you shot them as well) and with what they shot you with
Its pretty neat and can discover some more apparent cheaters as well (ones that suspiciously hit every headshot in a row without fail)
I thought it looked like an ammo box XD
how do you know if its a headshot? didnt play Apex so I dont know how the UI shows its info despite the image you posted.
it is an ammo box. its an Ammobox Charm.
ah
You may need to zoom in to see it, but the headshot is indicated by an orange-ish dot instead of the white one
ah I see
that could work as well which will take some time for people to get used to. or a setting could be implemented to toggle between detailed or simplified combat report
Seeing what attachments were equipped and if the final bullet was a headshot would be a nice addition. I'm all for the apex style kill log, knowing how you died is important.
would hopefully get rid of some frustration too, since you know exactly how they killed you so you can learn to mitigate that
Yep, instead of nerfing the guns just improve the UI and teach player avoiding danger situations
learn how to not die? ha no. I shall run into the enemy with my hammer until I kill them
I mean in that case, you know what is killing you.
More info for who wants more info is cool tho, if you don't read info, it's a you problem and don't be mad about it. HS indicator would be nice, since you have HS indicator for kills and hits, having it for death screen shouldn't be a biggie since AAA games have it for years
Gitgud messages does not justify anything tho
It isn't like 99% of the players have 0 deaths, most likely any player by now have seen at least one death screen
wat? Is this in the context of death screen messages or just general communication in discord
Discord ones
what are you even saying?
