Grass is not being rendered over some distance - so, it would be nice to have some replacement for grass over a distance or reworked grass rendering to have it covering models over a distance. The promising techniques are:

  • shell texturing for rendering grass (beyond grass rendering distance)
  • screen door transparency for models over a certain distance to limit their visibility

With this, people won't have the problem of thinking they're being stealthy by blending into the grass, only to look like an idiot lounging wide open in the fields

this is why kinda I want an option for a kill cam, like how tf did I die? was I stupid and got caught out or was I just visible becuase they were far enough away?

bump, hopefuly some attemps will be made in the upcoming overhaul to get the grass working in the distance - just like shadows are being worked on

Just a heads up dont bump suggestions cause they will be locked unless you actually have something of value to say

anyway the overhaul is a nice moment to play around with distant grass workaround

as we will get increased draw distances, there will be even more need for a grass that cover things in a distance
