that requires players...
game probably isnt made for it.....
map size
server lag probably
client lag
overwhelming sounds
not enough people
dont forget nade spamming
"the current netcode system supports 254 players"
this is what devs usually answer
and that it would probably be unstable if they would go over
we could compromise at 251v251.
Nah
The biggest issue other than simply not being supported by netcode would be that 252 vs 252 would need far larger maps than we currently have in order to be anywhere near enjoyable unless you like being unable to move because the map is entirely covered in players
512 would be interesting
can't wait for the 512 community night
Do you know the game is dead ?
Oh well, time for us to get a 10km x 10km map with loads of vehicles and enjoy the utter chaos of 252 vs 252
the only time you can see a 252 team is when team swap happens
My laptop would overheat and melt my desk
Yeah and add artillery, fighter jets, ifvs, stealth bombers
510 players is possible in theory, with lower tick rate and Async client to server method (aka divide players in two group with 255 each and sync one of those group per tick.
But 510 players on one server may not have any sence for game.
Make bigger maps? Then we will spread players in same way as on 254 players servers.
Along with FPS problems, due in any case at some point of time all those 510 players will meet at one single point...
So it's not a thing in Battlebit for sure.
512 on old namak
254 players old Namak was a true benchmark for our servers.
Oki was only liked Namak because of steers test environment for his netcode
if Netcode Handle 254 players at tickrate 60 without any issues = Netcode is in great state
Ah that's why every playtest started on namak
the lore
512 old district frontline only bunker

Xd
oh yes
