I think splash damage would be enough for an overall more enjoyable littlebird experience ingame. You could actually reliably contest infantry ingame without being completely outgunned. Fixing the bugged helicopter windows would also help too.

It could also be armor only if it turns out to be too imbalanced against infantry. Lord knows the safezone camping tanks deserve it

In fact, it seems to me that the buff is not needed. You just need the game to work correctly. So that the cockpit windows work and are not buggy, so that the damage to light armored vehicles decreases with distance. The only thing I think needs to be buffed is the distance at which the damage is reduced
It's hard to talk about how bad or good the LB is when the game isn't working correctly.
As long as lb can be 1 tapped by heat i wont have issues with buffing it

You could just add an overheating mechanic for balance. By the way, this could have been done the first time, but for some reason the damage was simply cut down
imo the only buff it needs is tankier heli windows. You have enough vehicle movement, health and ammo to deal some good damage to infantry and other helis. If it could 1v1 lav's and tanks it'd be far too op. The biggest problem I have when flying is being beamed out by a singular spray even at a large distance, and this will be more apparent in the next update when 4x scoped ar's will become the meta with lower recoil and more dmg at range.
If you are struggling with the littlebird currently my advice is to really think about your targets & your timing. Scan the environment before going in for a strafe and try target higher value targets that can impact your survivability/time on the field (occupied helis/gun humvees/rhib boats with wide LOS > engineers/support lmg) before going for the squishier infantry. Practice tryna survive for as long as possible, while still being effective for the team and learn places on each map which are often quite safe to fly around
Accuracy will come over time, what helps to improve is meaningful playtime with the littlebird
^final comment is to not fly too predictably. Try to switch up your flight patterns & strafes instead of going for the slow & steady circle strafe every time. Don't be afraid to fly slow in certain situations in which you might have infantry or a vehicle in your crosshairs at low health
^^final final comment is to fly evasively when you suspect a tank/lav may have you in their crosshairs, locate where they are and try to avoid flying too low in front of them. When I'm being targeted by armour I try to fly above their turrets radius or I just leave the area

I got you bro. Ended up spawntrapping on Isle with the littlebird with the help of a good team of lavs and went like 95-3
spawn in tank and shell it with AP if they are really bothering you. So much easier to land a hit than just rpging the bird. Or just run an lmg/aug and spray at the pilot by yourself or with the help of your team

if you're getting tilted by littlebirds you could always learn to counter them with the blackhawk. Easiest & best counter to them is a blackhawk squad because of how little health the actual bird has

What a bizarre take. Player’s skill or (lack there of) shouldn’t dictate how easy it should be to explode a helicopter
I had some guy complaining about the movement because I was aware of how accurate he was with the sniper & flew evasively the entire match to avoid him. He got like 4 body shots and even landed a killing blow but still cried about the movement
gamers nowadays expect everything to come so easily to them and instead of commending a counterplay to their strategy they complain and demand nerfs lol
battlefield also has flares and most helis can survive more than 1 missile shot
unless its unguided where it dies in one hit.
So then buff vehicle health, and add flares. ALSO, lock-ons always have limited range too, so no, you don't get killed "as soon as you fly into the skybox"
If you've ever played in a lav or tank then you should know the wrath of an engy squad
there would be constant lock ons
in battlefield it is fine because there are indicators showing you where you are being locked on from so you know where to target/avoid. There is also a lot more vertical cover for vehicles to hide behind whereas in battlebit most maps are very flat and open
Lock ons and flares are a completely unnecessary time sink for the devs. Just learn how to better counter littlebirds with the numerous options already available, learn to avoid them or learn to not get tilted at them
Lock on missiles would be cool BUT they would be completely un balanced
Oki originally added damage absorption so that you won't be beamed out, but it got bugged, when it was reported by +10 different people with video footage proof, oki just ignored it.
Him saying "it works on my end so its not a bug globally".
So like dont expect that itll be added or fixed i guess
