Can't launch from steam

When I try to launch from steam, it no launch

I've also tried helping him even with the github https://docs.joinbattlebit.com/crashes/launch-from-steam but it's not working.

I would type exactly as we tried running the program but it won't allow me.

It only works for him when he goes to his files and runs it as anticheat but he wants it to where he can run it from steam.

did you try to set BattleBitEAC.exe to always run as admin in properties > compability mode?

Are they the same to EasyAntiCheat or is it two different things?

As I have no idea about this kind of stuff.

a bit different, but if BattleBitEAC.exe won't do it, replace it with EasyAntiCheat.exe in path and see if it helps

try running BattleBitEAC.exe as administrator, when it fails plz go here, press "Download raw file", run the batch script and send BattleBit Logs.zip from your desktop to @undone river, i'll see what i can find

We're not sure but it said something about it not letting it launch easy anti cheat.

But we're checking right now and we're not sure if it can help but we're gonna do a bit of window's checking such as seeing if the firewall is blocking it, the computer out of date

or

we might as well do a reinstall in steam

We'll try that tomorrow as we're tired as we tried doing this for 4 hours straight.

@daring harbor I know we're pinging (a lot) but to let you know, this happened as soon as he bought battlebit, so he's not on rn but I do have some options to try for him later.

As it could be his windows defender, we tried firewall yesterday as it never worked (everything was on for battebit in firewall) so my last hope was to see if it's steam and if not I'm out of options.

as a bypass you can just create a shortcut for BattleBitEAC.exe and put it on desktop

@daring harbor from what I know, only works in files, different games with different anticheats.

What i do know is one of his game l4d2 doesn't work and my guess is, it's Steam's VAC and only works in files.

I told him he should try that if he re installs it but I'm not sure if there's any similarities to battlebit too if you get me.

Like the way how they both can't launch from steam.

That's as far as I know, @daring harbor if you want I can make a private vc with you and him, you could see what happens there/help him, I only suggest it as it's out of my hands to know what's the problem and how to fix it.

@daring harbor hey do you know what happened to the official server? I'm looking for them and I don't see any actual official hosted server hosted by the game dev's themselves.
