I am currently unable to use my rightmost joystick on my Sony PS5 controller, as any attempt to do so automatically just binds to "Joy4th (Negative)". Additionally, if I dont put in any input, the same issue happens.
I have checked for drift and that should not be the current issue, does anyone know of a way to fix this?

dont use in game bindings

any HID device will show up as a JOY action

ie controllers, wheels, joysticks, or any device a human can interface with

just remember steam bindings is always better than in game bindings!

since your using a playstation controller

you can enable gyro
which can help with more pinpoint accuracy with controllers

thats when you move your controller and it turns with you
like mobile games
actually pretty helpful with the steamdeck

theres an "Apply layout" button but it just resets everything to default

then edit the controls that way via steam overlay

eh id assume so
just gotta set the freelook to the same as the players in a way
so you can use lets say ALT for player and vehicle freelook or bind it to another setting (since the players freelook is bindable but not vehicles)
