using test microphone just plays back the audio of the selected fake microphone, which is just the game's own audio and does not include my voice
for now i will just unplug my actual mic from the PC, but this is a problem

yes i looked in those settings already, windows does not seem to have options for disabling specific programs from using the mic
its either completely disabled for everything or completely enabled for everything
which is functionally indentical to unplugging it

it's required so death microphone feature can work properly, it asks you if you want to enable or disable it when on your first launch of the game, and if it's death microphone disabled - your voice not getting anywhere
you can check it yourself with networktrafficview or such software

in that case, why do teammates respond when i say stuff? i even asked multiple people to do specific unusual actions if they could hear me, and they did them, while i was not touching the keyboard and i was alive in game
