#balance updates to shake up the meta while we wait for the overhaul update

Since we don't have an ETA for the big overhaul update, why not release simple balance updates every week or two until it eventually releases? AKA somewhat frequent bite sized updates that

  1. only changes weapon or attachment stat numbers (+3% sprint speed, -5% recoil using "x" attachment etc..)
  2. only changing a few weapons at a time
  3. doesn't require adding/removing any content or feature
  4. simple way to shake up the meta
  5. shouldn't impact timeframe of the eventual overhaul update if the balances are small enough (only touches maybe 1-2 stats for 3 guns/attachments per update)

Maaaan trust me you do not want oki adjusting weapons and only that

#

Also meta won’t be “changed”, at most people use different guns vs what they use now. Someone using the M200 to snipe will just use the next powerful sniper.

Unless you over buff or over nerf a gun, which is bad game design

Feedback team has generally been used as a scapegoat whenever changes don’t sit right. Usually it’s just oki mashing the send button on changes and worrying about it later

i doubt they approved of the trails

Probably oki’s solution. Ik some of them (as well as us) asked for a way to address the “sniper camping in the middle of nowhere instead of helping the team” problem

#

Which.. still is a problem

i mean if you really think about it

#

snipers are supposed to do that

#

but the amount of them and the map design just makes their presence painful
