I feel like it would be better to just release the update how it is and the players give feedback instead of trying to make it perfect. There will be bugs either way and this way players have new content and the devs can get feedback

Rushing development for a update from a small studio isn't gonna make the update come quicker. They might add patches to fix things. But, in the meantime just wait.
