Lately the problem of repeating maps has recently returned and with the modes too

Basically, votes from new players always come in heavily, because the temptation to play sniper/dmr is what's most common among them (and for good reason snipers are satisfactory)

My suggestion to improve this is the following.

Add a system to limit maps and modes to a number of matches:
• Selected modes remain 2 times without appearing in the list

• Selected maps do not appear for 6 matches, even their variants in other modes

This would help to take advantage of new modes and maps, and would take away the monotony of maps that are currently Sandy, valley, sandy, valley,... okiHyper

Everyone wonders why maps like namak (both versions), waki, sandy, etc. get picked over lonovo, outskirts, district, etc. some maps are fun to fight in. Others make people wanna leave the server

I agree we need something like this or #1172239412814430258 as it would stop the repetitive nature of voting, but ultimately it won’t mean anything if the lobby killer maps are skill just that, lobby killers

I agree, sandy waki valley conq/fl/etc. on a loop sucks. But I can’t really blame the community for voting on these maps

It would be like this, as the server remained active, there would only be 6 maps left out of the list There are only 16 left in a list that will always vary depending on the players voting!

Nah it’s not cooked at all, quite good to prevent repeat loops to that degree , perhaps an option alongside mario kart though?

The idea is to exemplify the maps that have already been used by the crowd not to enter the map vote for the next 6 matches, like Azagor there, in this case it has already been played, so it would be on hold for up to 6 rounds on other maps.

Whoever will decide the maps will still be the players in the random voting that already occurs when 3 maps appear, it just won't appear in the next 6 matches

granted we have to ban the super bad maps layout wise, but outside of that the concept works.

I still do stand by what I said over a year ago though. Maps that are underperforming/hated need to be looked into and addressed. Can’t really “ban” them on officials, that defeats the purpose of the official servers having nothing banned.

Easier to remove a very problematic map from rotation then have it stay in and watch people mass AFK/get annoyed

Only exception is old namak because popularity thing and free nostalgia bait. Old basra not in files

guess well just go through a loop of playing a map for a few month, it getting reworked and removed and then repeat with the "reworked" version instead of trying to fix the issues with the og map without creating a completely new map

and all that while other maps with issues get ignored because the rework takes too much time

Obviously some maps dont need a full rework but the ones I’ve seen so far would probably fall under that, but then again this is me trying to see us at least get something for the infy side of players

Edu - too flat once you leave the center, lacking cover, water isn’t fun.

Valley - Large buildings and hills promoting camping in the middle of nowhere, make it harder for spawning in teammates to play objective. Matches often either end in 5 min or become a tdm at the reactor area (Basically too vertical relative to where objectives are. Waki bridge has this problem too sure, but.. c2 exists so..)

Minor issues in the grand scheme of things? Perhaps. But its big enough of a problem for FL specifically

Shit becomes a flatland after all buildings are destroyed and one side has zero cover near spawn

With all due respect, the reason why people are so critical of the game overall is because of said lack of communication to begin with along with them wanting the update to do well. It’s not hate, they want the game to do well.

People have passion for the game, and trying to use the toxic positivity method to denounce any thoughts players might have on the state of the game that could be taken as negative never ends well.

I’m glad that infantry conquest is being removed in update to encourage variety in game modes.

I agree that there also needs to be something implemented that prevents maps being voted repeatedly, like a cooling off period.
