Let me cook.

Basically, let us have the choice of using bandages to do a speedy revive or revive for free, but very slowly.

Ideally this would be paired with bandage counts being scaled back, medics being able to do revives quickly for free in general, and medics being able to pass around bandages easier. I also think this would be paired with slowing down revives in general for non-medics. Either or, there's some routes that can be taken here

You might be like "wtf why". My main idea here is this would allow for bandage counts to be scaled back a bit more and give a bit of a fun risk reward dynamic to bandage use for revives.

I just think this would be positive for gameplay if reviving and bandages are kept similar to how they are now. And plus it'll provide a nice risk reward mechanic to reviving peeps.

Like, do I go for the slow revive and potentially get caught out? Or do I go for a fast revive so we're both ready for action faster.

There's also some mild skill expression with choosing who to revive first with this system as well.

Ideally the slow revive would be just slow enough to not be annoying, but fast enough to still be an actual choice someone would pick. We'd also lower the bandage counts a bit so that it's a legit choice if you want to spend a bandage to revive a teammate quick or not.

For medics, this allows them to use their bandages more freely for healing others and for possibly even speedier revives (there's multiple routes to go with this). Pair this with letting medics give bandages easier and suddenly medics have a nice little role to fill with bandage supplying and are more important than ever for getting people back up and into the action.

Currently, reviving people is basically free anyway tbh.

Honestly why have a so called "First Aid" slot when the only thing in there is just a bandage

One problem i see is lack of keybinds. There are already so many controls, where would this even go? You cant make this a tap/hold thing like reloads because reviving is a channelled ability
