no clue on what timing is best i dislike it so much when i'm spaming my 3key to get them back up and they time out in under 1sec

pros more revives and last frustration from people reviving

cons more revives will lead to more tickets what can make games longer the only thing you can do while waiting for deployment is change loadout what adding more time to this is not the best so maybe they can fix this 2 buy making presets for loadouts and as new player most stuff u can add to gun feels meh like 1-2 feel like Best in slot and the rest feel bad so idk how many player do change stuff after each death

I'm just gonna ignore your third paragraph because it has nothing to do with the actual suggestion, but FYI "forced" bleed out time was perfectly fine when the game released, then one day Oki decided to shorten it for absolutely no good reason.

Im not fully sure tho

#

Regardless it is infact too fast

#

Its actually so fast that sometimes cant stop in time or got little time left when someone actually goes to help me

I cant find the dev patch note but yeah oki turned it down because it felt too slow. Definitely swung too far the other way

holding space for a shorter duration to give up isnt bad. Being able to hold space from the beginning is

I think the majority held the same sentiment that it was just a tad too long.

#

But i dont think it was the only thing that killed post death voip

vague fable

Definitely didn't help. But tying the actual time left with the give up timer is also a pretty bad design choice. Because even if you cancel in time to let someone revive you, the next time you go down you'll have less time left.

True

Off topic but to finish this rant rq
Ya gotta remember that not only were some unaware of post death mic being turned on, there was also a bit of a panic given how it was said somewhere how the stuff you say on voip (including the death voip) would be like stored somewhere in case that you were a bit too big of an ass to put it lightly

#

Not to mention the somewhat strict guidelines on what you can do in voip which made some even more scared of using it

vague fable
#

Huh. Never saw that being brought up as a reason. Other than complaints from people who were actually being complete jerks.

zenith light
#

Well the whole voip thing being stored was cleared up quick

#

But it was kinda known given a couple of negative steam reviews that got a good bit of attention brought it up

#

And the whole guidelines thing boils down to misunderstandings and mostly people not being able to read

lol too true

I still think that if you start reviving someone it should stop the accelerated bleedout from holding space. When you are reviving the dead person should only bleed out at the default pace.

rather bf3's bleedout/revive timer, and the player being revived is put in a DbNO state where they can accept or deny the revive. so medic gets the revive, but the player can still chose to go somewhere else if they want.

Doesn't that let people cheese by waiting for enemies to turn around before getting up again?

#

Specially since reviving through walls is still a thing

ashen hollow

no cause you can still be rekilled in that state

#

so like they revive you, your modol "sits up" with your sidearm out. like 20 health no healing, and you accept or deny the revive.
