#Do not take away bleed function
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
The main issue is that it slows down gameplay and makes the already scarce number of bandages deplete far faster. Once you get bleed, you need a bandage to undo it, and another to actually get back to normal health. And it gets rid of any use for medic box, as most hits will bleed anyway.
Getting rid of bleed improves the healing gameplay, and allows players to get back to the fight without having to waste two bandages and wait around for 20 seconds
Removing bleed does take away from the grit of the game, though it's understandable that it's being removed and in place we are getting mechanics that don't have negative connotations.
I believe this is one of many posts about bleeding and it's removal. So RIP if it gets taken down.
everytime I get hit by bleed I have to start micromanaging my health pool and bandages
it takes like 4 seconds to use two bandages
slowing down the gameplay is not a bad thing, the main issue with the game is it plays too fast for new players to get a grasp of what's going on well
It’s slowing it down by forcing players to use a limited healing item that is much more important for revives. It makes medic near useless, as it runs out of bandages extremely fast. It slows down the fight, because after near every shot you have to bandage to avoid bleeding out
Since when does medic run out of bandages extremely fast
That basically never happens
With most guns it takes 2-3 shots to make the other person need to bandage, if they survive
so why not add 2+ to each class thats 1 fix or maybe make everyone have 20 or what if it healed you and stopped the bleeding many ways to fix this outside of removing
Nobody disagrees that bleeding slows the game. You just don't like that, and other people do.
Every day we are straying closer and closer to COD
"Slowing down game" Boohoo?
Something this game actually needs is slowing it down so people can socialise and make the game fun again.
Total class independence has been a disaster on BattleBit kind
If anything, maybe they could add ammo types that come with additional functions, and one of these could trigger bleeding? This would make bleeding more of a specialty thing caused by ammo, but you'd probably sacrifice a small amount of bullet velocity/drop for it.
Unnessesary as fuck
Id be down to ammo conversion on some guns but not full on ammo types
I think the bleed should trigger at lower health values and the rate at which you bleed out could be slowed a little but don’t remove it.
Make medic box remove bleed?
This will end up like another Mario Kart Voting thing right?
The community and a clear majority loves a mechanic (weighted Voting), however a few key members (due to personal interest) convince Oki otherwise so he removes a feature that was seen as beloved and gave the game identity
Here its 63 Checkmarks to 3 red crosses. On Reddit (Reddit Bad 😡) they pity the desicion:

Posts advocating the removal of bleed gets downvoted to hell with comments defending the mechanic:

Unless the changes that are coming change the context of the health system that much, that the removal will make sense (which I dont see based on the current known changes), I don't see why it gets removed in the first place.
The whole bleed removal doesn't bother me as much, since the implementation of it right now is pretty ass
As it stands, bleed starts the exact moment you drop at 40 HP, after which every 10 second you receive -10 HP until death
And after nearly 800 hours game just becomes a bleed bandage bleed bandage loop that does nothing but ultimately annoy the player
Besides, community servers can enable it
you need to heal anyway
Yeah but good luck guessing how much HP you got left besides having a vague outline of below 40 HP
And honestly, for a mechanic meant to slow the game down, it really doesn't in the slightest
I wouldve been more down for a rework of the mechanic, cause having it be the way it is just annoys people
Bleed, bandage, repeat
it annoys people - well then appearently, the majority likes that
2 posts that you linked were from 1 year and 10 months ago respectively, and the ones ironically linked under your post had people understanding the removal of bleeding
Opinions over time change, and based on somes comments under your very post suggest that people have changed their minds on it
Hell I have seen people in Discord specifically adore the fact that it is being removed because they thought the mechanic is bullshit
Besides, opinions on Reddit, if you did not know somehow, are notoriously outdated, because I still find people thinking that medic is a meta class
Most of them cleary do not even play BBR anymore, yet they parrot opinions that simply are not true in the slightest
and the ones ironically linked under your post had people understanding the removal of bleeding
and like 2 times more that disliked or were saddened by the decision
just add a tourniquet for medic, can only be applied if someone is bleeding. Applies super fast stops it and makes that player immune to bleeding for the rest of his life until he respawns
Revert back to "opinions on Reddit are notoriously outdated"
No
Rework mechanic (like thats gonna happen) or remove it
No bandage fixes for an existing problem
its not a bandage fix, its a tourniquet fix xD
also who cares even if you were right in saying reddit players haven't played in months or a year. It's not like the game got an update in that time
Reddit opinions somehow havent changed since the game came out
I still see people whining about the "smg medic meta" and other crap
They literally live in the past
Fact is playing a game with no updates for a whole year usually makes a persons opinion on the game change
You begin noticing and discovering things that were not there when you began playing
After nearly 800 hours of BBR you realise that bleed just doesnt do what its supposed to, or does it extremely poorly at best
Meanwhile vast majority of redditors have not touched BBR since august probably, since thats where the biggest drop in player count came
So they stick to their opinions of the past without any knowledge of the present
There is a very clear, day and night difference in opinions of those that played a bit, and the ones that played until now
And opinions of the past simply are not as valid as of those now
SMGs are still strongest (tho much more balanced than before), Medic is just replaced by Assault and bleeding is still a neat mechanic that adds depth to it and does what is suppose to. Alert the player he is low health and forcing downtime.
Only really good SMG is the UMP, PP19 is garbage, Vector is incredibly mid, MP5 is good, and Skevo is only good if you increase DPI, and even then it chews thru ammo a lot
And like I said, as it stands, in its current iteration, it does not do well what it is supposed to
Tell me this, how long does it take to bandage from bleeding?
why did this channel get revived
Thank deathcounter for that
He thinks bleed in its current iteration is good and people lament it being removed
I don't want it to be removed either
it needs some adjustments but it's better than no bleeding
Depends how other changes land next update, for all we know bleed may be redundant
Regardless, curent iteration is ass
I can see where it has issues but personally I don't think current bleeding is bad
At best the downtime between bleed and full health is 4-5 seconds
You cannot accurately tell how much health you have left, other than below 40
But even then, there is little in stopping a player from pushing other than lower health cause you still have 10 seconds minimum to push and get more kills
At best, 40 seconds
Its barely slows down shit
At this point, if they arent going to rework how it works, they may as well remove it
I want to prevent a mistake from happening. People will ask for it back, much like Mario Kart Map voting
that's not a bleeding issue
because most ppl just rush in and die before they would bleed out
no point in bandaging if you die in 20 sec anyway
but only if they ran out of bandages
not from my experience
I am sure most people heal and stop their bleed before moving on
only maybe if they hear lots of enemies coming
bbr has become a spawn, kill 3 ppl, die and repeat simulator. Bandaging just slows you down and is useless if you are going to die in 30sec anyway
and for those that don't play like that it does what it is supposed to do
100% wrong
Like haro said, spawn kill die is the meta
Rush in, take out as many as hunanily possible, perish, repeat
The only time i personally actually stop to bandage myself if I am trying to defend a point
Otherwise it is better to move and do it at the same time (did people forget that you can schmove and bandage yourself at the same time)
And like i said, downtime is at most 4-5 seconds
Its barely anything
True, but it doesnt help bleeding either
Below 40HP bleed is the only real indication at this point
because death holds no value
Is the update really come or they just marketing ads
thats why i think bleeding is mostly fine as it is rn. All the issues ppl think it has come from different sources
Bleeding does not fit into the game, because of how the game plays in combination with how badly bleeding is implemented.
It is meant to slow the game down, but it doesn't do anything besides make you need to bandage which takes like 4 seconds.
You can run, jump, shoot back, crouch, prone, throw a nade and do your taxes while bleeding
The time it takes to stop bleeding is irrelevantly little and the time it takes to die from bleeding is irrelevantly long.
Yeah, so it should stay. Cause it doesnt hurt anybody and it's something that can be expanded via new content
Its kinda important, you have 10s to retreat and bandage, push or defend your position.. while bleeding, it prevents the match to end quickly
Yep it SHOULD stay, but not as it is in it's current state.
And it takes 2 seconds to bandage
Gee i wonder what i will choose
Like i said, unless they are planning to change it, they may as well remove it
Like this, id rather not make it stay
I think this clip can just showcase how utterly pointless bleeding is.
Bleeding exists merely to tell you that you are low health. It doesn't provide anything meaningful to this game beoyond that in the current gameplay loop.
Gets shot
Bleeding
"Oh I'm low health, better heal real quick"
Full health
"Where is that sonava bitch?"
Adrenalin INJECTING
Like a cat on zoomies
1 clip doesnt mean anything, specially if u were just running around… cause its situational, try pushing 1v4 while bleeding
doesnt shoot back and retreats
bleeding doesnt do anything
Lets say tht the game had a HP bar but no bleeding
It is not bleeding that caused the retreat, it is the fact that you are low health and bleeding is the indicator
Or would you peek an enemy you havent even spotted ON LOW HEALTH
Being shot by an enemy that is out of your field of vision and taking is not a real retreat even
Most cant just flick to the mfs head
Why would you push 4 people when you are low on health?
Or if you meant being pushed by 4 people, you are low health and most likely to die regardless of the existence of the bleeding mechanic
Sometimes there isnt any other choice, you push or get pushed, the difference is that if you do it… you might have some advantage over the enemy AND win, even having low health
