Yes, I would like to abuse this. I think it'd be really funny to be able to vote to mute those "people" in chat. Ideally they'd only be muted till the next map. It would mute just chat since you can manually mute voice pretty easy.

I’m gonna be that guy again but.. Vote to anything: kick/mute/ban/etc. undermines the moderation system and is potentially ripe for abuse (which you yourself admitted you would do.) and that’s not positive for the game once the dust settles.

I’ll agree with you on the rep system but we need to let the mods do their thing in regards to people doing bad things like saying discriminatory terms. Encouraging reporting would be a better way to address rule breaks.

Servers will need to ability to easily self moderate, official servers especially. There's no real good way to do that for 200+ peeps though honestly

Won't have the official mod team forever, maybe like that one system I think CS has where trusted community members can review submitted stuff to help out

But in regards to this one, I just want this one to mute people to be funny, and to also chat mute the you know whos who get a little heated

Community servers have their own mods so this isnt a problem in regards to them. Most of the time they get banned/muted/etc. shortly after you dm mod mail (discord) or steam DM a server mod

Official, yeah I get the concern the reports aren’t super fast, but you have to remember the T&S team usually moderates more than in game (reddit, steam forums, and discord mainly too.) All done by the same people. Iirc not all bbr staff is solely “moderation” focused

True devil might be able to give more insight/his viewpoint since he’s a part of said trust and safety/in-game moderation team.

I mean it's not so much speed, it's more for future proofing and reducing the load. I'm sure it's not too bad atm compared to before though

But while there are Official servers, there will be Official staff to look after them, so we aren't going anywhere yet.

Definitely give us better mute tools. I'm sick of seeing the MOST toxic people in chat and being able to do literally nothing about it. Can't vote to kick, can't mute them, just have to deal with it filling up my chat. Reporting is nice, but it isn't going to fix my game in the moment

I genuinely think it can sour the mood of the server.

Another solution could be to separate the chat into 4 tab filters. All, team, squad, and SL

So in all chat I would see all the chats, in Team I would only see stuff from my team, SLs, and squad members, and so forth
