The new leaderboard would be divided into 4 types of scores, instead of being the typical table to know how many you have eliminated and how many times you have died:

Combat Effectiveness: points obtained by eliminating enemies, vehicles, respawn points, etc.

Offensive Effectiveness: points are obtained for time attacking areas captured by the enemy

Defensive Effectiveness: points when defending allied territory

Support Effectiveness: When performing actions not related to combat such as giving ammunition, reviving, etc.

In addition to, of course, instead of showing on the table that the best player is the one positioned highest, it shows the best squad, making it a group table instead of an individual one.

Of course, it is an idea based on the "Hell Let Loose" leaderboard, and perhaps it will serve to compete not individually with other players, but as a group as a squad to see who is the best.

Why do we need this? We already have the end of game stats. I don't want to see all these numbers in game. The in-game leaderboard is already a nightmare to look at.

Tbh i just want challenge exp to not count towards the leaderboard score
Feels cheap whenever someone who actually puts the effort into it gets a lower score than some random dude who just happened to complete a random set of challenges

#

But in general, if possible, get rid of the stutter whenever you open it and make it a bit more readable and visually appealing

#

Other than that, you dont really need extra clutter, as we have match leaderboards at the end of the game anyways

There’s a phrase commonly used here known as KISS: “keep it simple, stupid!” I think this applies here.

Yeah lb needs a few tweaks in regards to challenges counting towards it, but why overcomplicate things that most people on average aren’t going to spend more than a few seconds on?

#

Also.. we already have a squad tab option for the squad part specifically? Why make it forced? (Especially when again, nobody would really care outside of looking at it for a few seconds)

#

Making it as default doesnt really make sense imo

#

Maybe it could encourage more teamwork but i doubt it honestly

#

If anything id at least mark squad members on the leaderboard better

#

Actually they arent marked at all are they

Honestly I think what the leaderboard needs most is a metric for (kills/max(deaths,1)-1.25)*((kills+deaths)/timeAlive)

#

But that’s just me :3

a little birdie told me it will change at some point, but this is a cool way to do it

#

The leaderboard already causes lag spikes with only kills deaths and score, this will only worsen the situation

#

Even in 64v64 it still stutters 💀

honest dirge
#

It’s so weird why it does that

#

Initially I thought, maybe it just collects stats from every player and the stutter is because it waits for responses to come in for some reason before computing the next frame

#

But after getting a better setup I realised it’s heavily hardware related

#

So something cartoonishly inefficient must be going on in there

#

That the length of the lag spike depends on how long it’s been since you last opened the leaderboard evidences a very weird implementation indeed

I even have it on squad only setting and it still lags a little..
I7 6th gen is plenty for this game idk
