The guns are very well done but as a tactical shooter game its strange to find out that closed bolt weapons don't have chambering logic

  • The m9 for example in the game has 13 rounds in a mag, but if you reload after having a non empty mag in the gun. the ammo count should be 13 +1.
    so this logic should apply to all closed bolt weapons (not including belt fed LMGs)

  • A cool way to add this to the HUD would be adding a simple bullet shape just above the current mag that is in the gun
    for bolt actions if fired a round but haven't ejected the empty casing, then the HUD would display only the shape of the shell to indicate that the casing needs to be ejected

it might not seem like much but in a game where every bullet counts and for how tactical the game is it just makes sense to have chambering logic since the game already has realistic reloads

plus it will be another good indicator or alternative for bolt action rifles
so instead of having the "press fire" to chamber a new round, you could disable that in setting if you wanted and just have the simple of a empty casing above the current mag in the gun

While we are on the topic. Sniper rifles shouldn't actually lose the bullet in the mag as they shoot, they should lose a bullet in the mag when doing bolt action

shown in the video of the SV98 in H3VR i purposely take out the 10 round mag that currently had 9 rounds in the mag, out of the gun to show that guns with chambering logic can still fire that one shot perfectly fine

and the pause i do when you see the empty casing in the gun could lead back to my simple hud design that shows the bullet and casing in the gun

If the devs add guns that are exclusively burst it would be annoying to have an extra free bullet tho

how many times do you let yourself have less than 5 rounds in a mag unless you are out of ammo?

Also personal I find burst fire weapons are quite useless and normally hold people back as they are wanting to use full auto

The only time when burst fire is valid is when burst fire is faster than using single of full auto like the O12 auto shotgun for example

The Beretta 93R is a good example as in real life you don't feel the recoil of the burst only after the shots have been fired
