it actually works a bit now, not so much its a better pick than another option, but because of the angle changes its more plasible for someone to be turning in the distance rather than what iwas before.

not sure if blasting music through mic or boom box would make much difference copyright wise

Maybe. But the nature of a boombox implies you will be playing copyrighted music through it, whereas "VOIP tunes" is an unintentional use.

well funny thing
in battlebit 2017 on salhan they had a boom box on the highest floor
if i recall that was a remake of oki's or vilaskis's room
played some non copywritten EDM or something along those lines

This idea came to my mind when I was lying on a mountain with a sniper rifle for about 20 minutes, and the silence caused me to hallucinate

This can be done as a gadget for a Sniper and so that it has a small sound distance.
