Please explain to me how contemplating adding doors is a thing, when there are literally 200+ ideas directly below this post, coming from the actual current players of the game?
Whether you agree or disagree with customers, wouldn't it make sense to take the most popular ideas from customers, and implement those first? Wouldn't it make more sense to support the existing user base, rather than try to break or tweak the existing game such that the existing base leaves?
As developers, if you really feel the current game needs changes that are so significant in order to bring in new customers, then** spin off this game**. Retain all the rights but hand this game over to 3 new developers and let them create the milsim or whatever was originally envisioned.
In this way, you keep the existing base happy as they don't care what the new game is called (BattleBit Milsim or whatever), and you can double your chances of success!
You won't be splitting the userbase because existing users will stay because they will play whichever title is best for them. New players will initially play your vision of BattleBit Remastered and then can decide which one they prefer long-term. Win-win.

s that want to actively ban and harass every “hardcore” player is a good way to do it.
