#is there still gonna be a milsim mode?

maybe in 5~~6 years after the third remaster when the team hires a contractor for bugfixing XD
more or less, and missilm Mode will be nothing more than an arcade Battle Royale because once again Oki listened to the tryhard fans of "fast movement" instead of the average community user
ive been here since the platests, the first premise for battlebit was basically insurgency but with low poly and 250 players, then the game launched. All the previous design decisions aimed at tactical gameplay and teamwork got overshadowed by the lack of momentum and fast movement speed ( both were going to be removed pre-launch) since most fps players and **cough **cough streamers come from cod or whatever movement shooter is the current flavor of the month, the "movement shooter" discourse got more and more popular at launch, so much that oki and the three stooges caved in and started pandering to the new audience, audience that is now (obviously) gone. Now battlebit is this crazy mess of tactical ish clusterfuck that wont last. All because the devs caved in for the masses in a critical moment (this never happened during playtests btw both oki and the other were always adamant on making a tactical milsim-ish shooter). *grammar
Don't worry about explaining the lore to me, I know, I am faithful to Oki's original idea of a shooter that mixes Squad with Battlefield, that was what caught my attention, but now it is nothing more than a "fast movement" shooter in which Oki only cares about pampering the toxic tryhards, while the average user is left watching haha, how many mechanics would have been repaired if he had not paid attention to the tryhards, if at one point he was about to fix the "Air- Strafe" but of course, the toxic ones came to say "Oki doesn't listen to us" haha, the current state of Battlebit is 50% their fault and 50% Oki's fault for spoiling them, most of them have left (as we knew they would do if Those types of people who don't please them at the very least leave any game) and those who remain give "arguments" (if you can call it most of the time they insult you so that you say they are right) about why they are really there. Battlebit dying and guess who is completely to blame? of course, to Oki, and they are saints hahahahaha
And of course, if I wanted to make it more arcade that's fine, but not at this point, also Oki is not reinventing the wheel as many say, if the genre that this game correctly falls into is an arcade shooter with realistic touches (like battlefield, Planetside 2, World War 3) although of course, try to explain this to the tryhards and they will again give you arguments that it is not like that, that it is something innovative and unique and blah blah blah (just to not admit their ignorance about these games which is fine, but excusing yourself in this way is just showing how an ignorant person does not accept it)
What I'm getting at is that it tries to stick too closely to the arcade point, more so than Battlefield, and it has a long way to go to become an arcade with realistic touches.
as Hakita the developer of ultrakill would say: "It's a good thing you guys aren't designing ultrakill or it would suck"
It will probably come at a later date than expected if I had to guess. I don't think they will skip on it if it was advertised as such previously.
Well now we have a game that is not what was promised, a mostly toxic community and months in which they could fix the mechanics they didn't, and now they have only a couple of months before Delta Forces Hawk Ops comes out and takes players to their title
Don’t forget that they literally advertised multiple guns in the supporter pack that have yet to be added. Surprised they haven’t caught some flack for that yet.
isnt it just one?
What's the question brother?
Didn't know that, good to know
@oblique flicker @gusty spruce @torpid idol What do you think about making a post related to making a different style of game, not missilm mode, not so realistic, but more like Battlefield, that is, arcade but with realistic touches and with, of course, teamwork?
sure but how and where
Save your breath. That is all I will say.
I know the truth haha, now I'm mostly just trolling or giving ideas and I don't care if they accept them or not (except for certain people who deign to talk about things they don't like)
This game never played like insurgency
Ya i would say battle bit during the playtest played much better than now. Oki's plans to increase ttk so that new people who join the game dont die as much is absurd not to mention his idea of invincible doors. I asked Larry on the modeling stream if there was still plans on a milsim mode and he said yes but later. Now though after this recent devcast im starting to wonder if its ever gonna come.
Well, seeing that they finally added inertia, making the movement more human, the truth still doesn't assure anything, they may still continue to pamper the toxic players and let's just keep looking, as I say, Oki has to look at the rest of the community, not only in a part that, of course, led him to leave the game as it currently is
I agree the update in its self isn't bad the models and sound design is good Oki just keeps on implementing ideas that wouldnt help the game
inertia may be the first step, but we still have to see if it continues down that path or again continues to pamper the toxic tryhards
ya hopfully they have plans on a milsim mode not to far off
because they are mad
Because when the tryhards way of playing the game becomes threatened they immediately “skill issue” anyone and anything.
Well yes, it has always been like this
