For example:
how HOLO is on M4 currently
and where we could place it (le paint master)
slider goes there
(le paint master)
That’s kind of a cool idea! 👍

I’m going to be honest if you ever owned a gun sights become a whole lot less affective when positioned far up like that for no reason as they wobble more and are more prone to fall off centre alinement
It’s not super practical and it really wouldn’t make any sense from a military standpoint
SF do this sometimes, mostly for very CQC oriented missions, otherwise more normal.
CQC? And what Does SF stand for in your books I apologize I’m not American
The only time you really need to push it foward is when using NODs
And not by a ton
Special Forces, really the only people in the military that can change up gear
CQC = Close Quarters Combat. inside buildings and the like.
also nods make it so you can't use the sight
Oh well ya at that range scopes really don’t matter you point barrel and spray in short bursts
Depending on the sight
I mean IRL
Yes irl depending on the sight
Red dots, holos and all those that project a marker on glass, that marker cannot be seen while using nods
Ye
which is basically everything short of ACOGs.
but daytime missions, some operators have the sight pushed up
It’s not efficient or effective by any means
I wouldn’t know why they choose to do that
keeping peripheral is not efficient or effective?
people do it because its helpful, and some prefer to shoot that way
simple as that.
You don’t need it pushed to end of your barrel to have peripherals
I can tell you have not used a carbine or simlar ever before lol
It just makes aiming accurately for more that a single shot significantly harder as I mentioned recoil and a harder affect on its centring
You obviously can’t
nobody in the military shoots for a single shot lol
My point exactly
you point was that it made it harder to aim for that single shot
don't walkback now.
"It just makes aiming accurately for more that a single shot significantly harder"
Single is person dependent
point shooting my friend
More than
Wild
oh you mistyped
alright I'll take back my statement
either way
it does not make it harder at all lol
It does
no it doesn't
To each their own
because handling is not effected by where your sight is.
But how quickly you can return to a stationary position is
And when it’s farther up it takes a bit longer to stabilize your self again
ok that actually made me laugh
they are not shooting 300 meters plust
Some might find it easier I guess
most do
Some
for its job.
To each their own
Its primarily a cqc thing, and most SF and swat units train with it that way
you will find this used all over the world very often.
No swat in Canada but fair play America is an enigma
"No swat in canada"
ah, then you are stupid.
Your just illiterate
they were among the first
to use it
hell their SF is who brought it too the world mainstream
goddamn man you know nothing about this do you.
shows random ass picture "I proved you wrong!"
completely ignoring the fact that its a very specialized way for sights. Showing short barreled weapons with top mounted lasers and skyscraper mounts.
2 of RCMP 1 OPD and one CPS
yep totally got me with your cherry picking images off of google lol
I grabbed the top 4
3 of the photos of from their respective departments official Facebook pages
Dog your American you know American stuff better 100%
yeah, ok? notice how I said that it was a choice based on mission you fucking moron?
You ain’t finna know Canada better than the Canadian I don’t even think you know how many provinces we have
oh yeah that totally matters lol
“Usually CQC” yea fair
You made it matter trying to say I was wrong about my own dame countries teams tf
you are
simple as
Ya honestly I feel like you try and start arguement as that’s all I see you ever do in here life’s really that down bad rn huh? Sorry about that hope it gets better for you man. Wish you luck I’m not engaging in a obviously clueless debate about something that is hyper department and person specific
now its just either gonna be a rant about how "I'm canadian and I know" or more random ass pictures.
Bros so desperate for the attention
keep reaching bud
You are really, really invested in this aren't you? checking all the boxes for someone losing a debate.
Still trying to get my attention crazy I posted evidence to back my point and you havnt proven anything but repeated that I’m wrong talk about all the box’s
bud posted 5 photos off of google "I won!". sure, just ignore everything else I said. The fact that canada SF were one of the first known units to have sights forward like that and beyond.
and now its the "if you reply to me I win! if you don't, I was right!" argument. like I said, you just following the checklist.
As I said I wouldn’t know about SF or that side I was talking about swat specifically and your pulling that statement out of context as you habitually do
I said to each their own as well as I’m not an expert on what every individual does and wa simply speaking from my experience with fire arms in my original comment and what I do know military wise
Swat side I’ve only ever seen 2 ever do that as a personal preference unlike as you said “most” which isn’t accurate for most current swat operators
SF and SWAT would be the only ones who do this. Though SWAT and basic rifleman are up to mandates based on fireteam/squad/platoon/company.
@tender stratus: Argues for personal preferences
Everyone: Ok.
@tender stratus: Hates your personal preference
I never said anything about his preference?
I mean you tend to not read what people say and pick single pieces and run with them
