For those who are old enough to remember the Refractor days of Battlefield (pre Bad Company), one of the more unique games in the series was Battlefield 2142, a game set over a century into the future where an ice age had forced the world powers into conflict. Among the game's iconic features (drop pods, active camo, hover tanks and battle walkers) was titan mode, where each team had a "Titan" - a mobile spawn base that had to be defended / destroyed by the player / enemy teams respectively One of the more fun moments of this mode was trying to breach the enemy's titan. You'd capture enough missile silos to breach the titan's shield, then board the titan via helicopter / drop pod assault and fight through to the core, then make a mad dash to escape.

I think given the flexibility of BattleBit and it getting a lot of what "worked" right in the Battlefield formula it would be a good mechanic to introduce for some maps. Given BB does have carriers on some maps (Isle is what I'm thinking) it's not like the assets aren't there. The destructive capabilities are there. We have modeled carriers and amphibious vehicles.

From a physics standpoint: I appreciate this probably wouldn't work too well. If you could get moving carriers, that would be great, but I appreciate this is probably not something that would work straight away and static carriers would still be fun to work with. I know for 2142 they often were forced to be static due to them lagging out servers anyhow.

It might have been their IP

But they abandoned it

And they won't remaster and rerelease it because people will realise just how bloated their recent work has become
