It's really annoying finding out you can't build suddenly either in combat or out of combat not sure why it was removed

The only way to check is spawn in see if you can build if not pray the next squad has points if you want to build in some sort of way sometimes it takes multiple squad checks aka multiple deaths/respawns

Agreed, The current system is a complete downgrade. No way to check how many points you have!
